This weekend's Rally of Turkey will be unique in WRC history, and now next month's Rally of Sardinia in Italy will follow suit.
Both events will be held without spectators, with Sardinia announcing the change in plans overnight.
“It is quite important in this terrible season that the world of sport be an example of fairness and responsibility,” the president of the Automobile Club d'Italie said,
“Our goal, also shared by the Sardinia region, has always been to organise the rally to convey the message that despite this pandemic and its results, the world must move forward in accordance with the rules.
"For this reason, we ask for the collaboration of true rally fans to make this event run in the best possible way."
The rally had originally been slated down for June 4 to 7, but was postponed until October 8 to 11 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
