The veteran pairing of Jim Richards and Barry Oliver, driving a 2007 Porsche GT3 RS, have won the Lake Mountain Sprint.

They finished 41 seconds ahead of Lake Mountain regulars Neville and Michelle Shears in their Mitsubishi Evo 6.5. In third place overall, and another 18 seconds behind, was another sprint series regular, the husband and wife pairing of Drew and Georgie Jorgensen in a Nissan Skyline GTR.

There were very few incidents over the weekend. Matthew Heskin and Natasha Deniese were left ruing their horrible luck once again, not getting any further than the shakedown run on the first morning. Dean Coutts and Ken Garrioch managed to make it only a little further, damaging their car against an embankment only three corners into SS1.

The classic category was looking to be dominated by Kevin Weeks and Bec Crunkhorn in their Porsche 911 RS until they went off late on Sunday afternoon. This opened the way for Don Tryhorn and Dennis O'Keefe in another Porsche 911 RS to take victory in the classic category.

The 'Track Record' for Lake Mountain will remain in the pocession of Alan Simonsen who took victory at the January event. Simonsen managed a 4 minute 28 second run in January, while the fastest this time around was Jim Richards with a time of 4m31.48secs.
