Freshly rebuilt, their updated Datsun 240Z is refreshed with all-new parts ready for the incredible rally.

Wilkins competed in the Mini Classic Rally in August last year, and is ‘on schedule’ to make the trip to Africa for the week-long rally.

In all, 20 places are available on the car, with 10 on offer for individuals and 10 for businesses.

A name on the bonnet will cost $250, while a business logo is on offer for $500, with plenty of other benefits within their new Supporters’ Club for those taking up the opportunity to join the team on their journey to Africa.

Wilkins told RallySport Magazine the steps to get the car to Africa in time for the rally.

“It has to be in a container and leave by the end of July, so we’ve still got a little bit over two months,” he said.

“A lot of the hard stuff has been done, so I think we’re pretty much on schedule, which is a good thing.”

The East African Safari Classic Rally will run from December 5th.
