Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) Future Star winner for 2010, Guy Tyler is proud to announce a new partnership with Jenna Kelley from JK Rallysport.
Jenna, from Victoria, will be calling the notes for Guy at the 2011 Coffs Coast Forest Rally, a piggyback event for Australia’s WRC round Rally Australia, to be held from the 8th-11th of September in NSW (http://www.rallyaustralia.com/).
Jenna is one of 8 elite women who have been awarded a grant from the Layne Beachley Aim for The Stars Foundation for 2011. She is the first woman in motorsport to secure the grant.
The newly formed team will take part in the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) category of the event in Guy’s Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 and they are very excited about the challenges they will face.
“I am thrilled to be able to have such an experienced navigator for this big event. Pacenoting is crucial and I am sure we can both work well together to achieve a good result!” said Tyler, who will be competing in his first ARC and also in his first motorsport event outside of his home state of South Australia.
“My small team and I here in SA had planned to compete in this event from the start of the year, primarily for the opportunity to race with the WRC boys and gain further gain experience in other rallies, especially one of such a large scale. We are busy working at the moment to have the car and ourselves ready for the long trip and simply cant wait to see what the Coffs Coast’s forest stages look like!”
“I am absolutely thrilled to be part of Guy’s team! He’s a talented up and coming young driver with the potential for excellent results now and in the future. I am sure we will be successful in the event and have lots of fun as well,” stated Kelley. “I am grateful to my sponsors and friends who have helped me raise the funds to do this event. Thank you!”
The team would like thank its faithful sponsors: S2 Performance, B&R Autogas and Exhaust, Aluminium Dynamics, Walkers Creative Art, Willunga Tyre and Battery, The Layne Beachley Aim for the Stars Foundation, Davina Park from IDP Education Pty Ltd, Garden Save and Home Maintenance VIC, Steve Piggott, The Carters and Kelly Rodger.
