New Zealand co-driver, John Kennard, will miss the upcoming Rally of Portugal after succumbing to a hip injury.

Kennard aggravated the hip condition in the Rally of Argentina, meaning Sebastian Marshall will step in to partner Hyundai’s Hayden Paddon.

“Gutted not to be in our Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC for @rallydeportugal but total confidence @sebmarshall & @HaydenPaddon will get the job done,” Kennard said on his official Twitter feed.

Paddon and Marshall recently teamed up for their first event together, when they piloted Hyundai’s new R5 rally car.
