Late Swedish entry for Kristofferson given all clear by FIA

“We asked FIA if they would accept his late entry and they did. Probably they saw the great PR value of having him in the rally.”Back in 1983 there was a cause to celebrate when a late entry by Skoda’s associated company, Audi, for the Swedish driver, Stig Blomqvist, was accepted by the organisers of the New Zealand Rally. Stig started the event, but the FIA insisted he should stop in mid-event.
