It is being reported that Jari-Matti Latvala has signed for the new Toyota team for next year’s WRC, although the Finn would not confirm the news.

Latvala is expected to join Juho Hanninen in the team, with WRC2 winner, Esapekka Lappi, to drive a third Yaris later in the season.

"I cannot confirm that I have signed," Latvala told Autosport.

"I have been negotiating a lot with Tommi with my manager Timo Jouhki, but I cannot tell you I have signed."

News on Sebastien Ogier’s new home is still not known, although talk of a privately run team using the new 2017 Volkswagen Polo is gaining momentum.

Ogier recently tested both the Toyota Yaris and M-Sport Fiesta, but has not announced where he will drive next season.
