Little ray of Sunbeam makes NZ rally debut

It is often overlooked that, apart from Lancia, Talbot was the last manufacturer to win the World Rally Championship with a two-wheel-drive car in 1981.

With the announcement of Group B at that time all eyes were looking to the future to see what monster machines were going to come to the world stage. Past successes were being forgotten.

Peugeot had recently brought the Talbot marque more closely under the home umbrella in France, and development had started with the Peugeot 205.
