West Australian driver, Brad Markovic, will start the 2018 Australian Rally Championship in the Subaru WRX that he used during the 2017 season.
However, Markovic still plans on upgrading to an R5 specification car later in the season.
"I haven’t been able to finalise a sale on the Subaru in time, so will be running that in the Eureka Rally at Ballarat, and most probably Perth at this stage," Markovic told RallySport Magazine.
"As soon as it is sold I can go down the R5 path."

Fellow West Australian, Toni Feaver, will continue to co-drive for Markovic, and the pair are looking to complete some unfinished business after last season.
Markovic's full tilt on the 2017 ARC ended prematurely when he was forced to have back surgery – which he has now recovered from.
Interestingly, with the Eureka Rally just over five weeks away, Supplementary Regulations have still not been released.
"We are being held up by CAMS finalising the sporting regulations. We will release them as soon as we can," an event spokesperson said on their Facebook page yesterday.
The Eureka Rally will be based in the Victorian Goldfields city of Ballarat, and will run on March 3 and 4.
