On top of your regular luggage, there’s also a mountain of camera gear that you could, should, and want to take, but you often don’t know how to fit in all in and protect it accordingly.

Taking purely a camera bag is tricky, because they often don’t allow space for anything else, and dumping your camera into the backpack with everything else is a recipe for damaged parts; so what to do?

Enter MAX Cases and particularly my MAC430CAM case.

MAXCase in action in the Swedish countryside.

MAX Cases are better known for their took kit transportation, but they can also be easily adapted to suit camera gear.

Thanks to our support from MAX Cases Australia, I was able to use one to carry and protect my camera gear as I trekked across Europe.

Using the smaller MAC430CAM case I was able to snuggly fit the camera as well as a spare lens, a couple of batteries and spare SD cards.

While fellow photographers would agree that this is the bare minimum, I felt it was enough to get me by, especially considering I had to carry it around on my back for my month-long European adventure.

The MAX Case performed perfectly.

The ease of carrying the MAXCase was apparent through my whole trip.

Water and dust proof, it stood up to the battering and inclement weather that photographers are often faced with on stages and what I was particularly faced with at WRC Rally Estonia.

It was light enough to carry in one hand, and it was nice to not have the extra weight pulling down on my shoulders with my backpack.

For air travel, my Max Case fits nicely into my carry-on suitcase.

While I didn’t have the room to do so, I would be more than confident putting my MAX Case inside my checked luggage. The protection is so good that I’d back it to protect my gear from the sometimes reckless airport baggage handlers.

Do yourself a favour, and get yourself a MAX Case and it just might change the way you carry your gear on-event.
