Tantalisingly close to victory at the recent X Games‘ event, Block is joined by US team-mate Travis Pastrana – who will be doing reconnaissance only at the New Zealand WRC weekend.

The New Zealand series is led by Geraldine’s Hayden Paddon (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 8), who is one of three championship drivers running the in the world category PWRC field.

Following a shakedown session, the event begins with a ceremonial start on Thursday (30th August), with three days of competition on the roads in the Waikato, King Country and Franklin districts.  The finish for the WRC event will be held at the Mystery Creek events centre on Sunday afternoon 2nd September.
