Australian Rally Championship regular Molly Taylor returns to the forests again this weekend with her entry in the popular ladies rally, Rallye des Femmes, to be held in the forests around Canberra.

Taylor won the event in 2006 by over five minutes and is hoping for a similar result this weekend.  Competition will be fierce, though, as the rally has attracted 18 entries including an entry from Sue and Simon Evans.  Sitting alongside Molly for the rally will be regular co-driver, Dale Moscatt.

It will be an exciting event for Taylor, as she will not be driving the Mirage, but a Group N (P) Corolla that she is leasing for the event from Neal Bates Motorsport.

Whilst nothing definite is in place at this stage, Taylor is hoping to secure enough sponsorship to lease the Corolla for next year’s Australian Championship, allowing her to step up to the next level of competition.

“It is definitely not a factory supported drive but I am still very lucky and appreciative of Neal and TRD for giving me the opportunity to drive their car and (hopefully) next year also if I can secure enough sponsorship,” Molly said.

Molly and her team head to Canberra on Friday to prepare for Saturday’s event.
