With 27 days left until the event takes off the National Capital Rally has today hosted its formal launch at accommodation partner, Hotel Realm, announcing bigger and better spectating options to ensure increased community participation.
“The event is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever, not only are we expecting a hotly contested championship round from the FIA Asia-Pacific championship as well as the CAMS Australian Rally Championship but we are also proud to announce improved spectating options,” Event manager Adrian Coppin said today.
“We have been able to partner with several of our sponsors to create an improved spectating area in the Kowen forest with the Kennards hire rally village. The area will be a fully accessible spectating point with plenty of action for the kids including a jumping castle as well as car displays and improved catering options with non-stop rally action.
This improved spectator stage is one of several spectating options throughout the weekend including a service park at Majura Park and multiple options in the Cotter on Sunday.
“This event would not be possible without the continued support of our sponsors and the tireless work of our team of over 200 volunteers working to bring international rallying to centre stage. I look forward to bringing the event to Canberra in just 27 days,” Adrian Coppin concluded.
The event will take place in the forest from 27-28 May and is expected to receive over 70 entrants.
