Australian rally driver, Adrian Coppin, has purchased a new Peugeot 208 AP4, which he plans to use for both business and personal exploits. Coppin drove a similar RaceTorque AP4 at the Eureka Rally in 2018, but has purchased the ex-Walkem Peugeot which finished in the top five at Rally Tasmania in 2018, and recently competed at a round of the Victorian Rally Championship. He drove this car at a test back in 2015 with Mark Pedder, but has bought it for more business reasons. "I bought it for a variety of reasons. It’s more of a race car for our corporate days we do (with Innate Motorsport and Events) and media stuff," Coppin explained. "We have a lot in the pipeline, so being able to offer a proper rally car is great. "Our days are a lot more than just hot laps. Companies come out and do additional team building and networking, and having a 'higher end' car compliments that also." Innate Motorsport and Events offers project management for motorsport events, and have comprehensive experience in hosting corporate and private test days. Coppin is no stranger to competitive cars, having driven a Skoda Fabia R5 in three ARC rounds last year, achieving three podiums. Though there are no national rounds planned in the short term, discussions are ongoing to make a full-time return to the championship. "It (the AP4) will also be more competitive for ARC events, but most importantly we now own all the AP4 running gear," he added. "If we can align with a manufacturer, we can build a car to suit," he added.

Queensland based Coppin is looking to run in a couple of local rallysprints to debut the car.
