Simone Bachmann will co-driver for Victorian driver Brenton Kaitler in November’s Rally of Melbourne.

Bachmann comes from a highly-successful co-driving background, where she has co-driven for both factory and privateer teams in high profile events on gravel and tarmac, including Australian and Asia Pacific Rally Championships. Her last international gravel rally saw the notes called in Japanese, a skill that Kaitler will not be calling on for Melbourne.

Kaitler Motorsport Engineering rallyeSPORT (KME RS) are entering Rally of Melbourne after a stunning drive by Brenton Kaitler to finish second outright to Eli Evans in the recent Mt Porepunkah Rallysprint.  With further power modifications to be made in time for this weekends Victorian state championship round – the Akademos Rally – they are ready to be powering into a strong finish at the Rally of Melbourne.

“I am extremely excited about contesting Rally of Melbourne alongside Kaitler -  he has demonstrated strong capability and ambition,” Bachmann said at the announcement, adding: “Melbourne is my favourite event on the calendar and with all new stages or stage formats, the event will really test the teams. I have a very positive feeling about this event.”
