Redbackracing have a new driver joining the team, competing in the final two rounds of the 2013/2014 Australia Targa Championship.

Andrew Bollom replaces Indonesian Bunjamin Noor in the team’s second Renault Megane RS250.  Andrew will be joining Lee Challoner-Miles in the car, with Lee having navigated for Bunjamin over the last two Championship campaigns.

“It is with great sadness that Bunjamin will not joining us at Wrest Point and Targa Tasmania and completing this season’s campaign. After winning the 2WD showroom category at Targa Wrest Point last year we were all excited to see how he would go in the 2014 event,” said team principle Adam Spence. “Unfortunately commitments at home in Indonesia will be keeping Bunj away for the remainder of the season.”

Andrew, who is no stranger to Targa, having participated in 9 events over the last 6 years and a runner up in Early Modern in the 2012 Championship, has been a part of the Redbackracing team as Service Manager for numerous races now and has been integral in the cars set up.

Andrew said: “I’m very excited to be getting back into the driving seat after my 2 year absence and I am really looking forward to Wrest Point.”

With Wrest Point only a few of weeks away the whole team are working hard to get ready and are looking forward to seeing how this new combination performs.
