The 2012 Queensland Hyundai Rally Series will be sponsored by Brakes Direct.

Brakes Direct is a specialised brake parts retailer with nearly a decade of experience supplying braking components on everything from fleet and trade servicing, right through to national motorsport competition!

The 2012 series will consist of five rounds with the first round being a split round to accommodate the vast distances Queensland competitors need to travel. This year the series will have a good mix of road types and conditions as well as two rounds being pace noted.

The www.BrakesDirect.com.au series will feature some amazing roads, with two stages of the Border Ranges Rally featuring from the 2009 WRC round in Australia. Following on from last year, the Excels will again compete in the All-Comers section of the International Rally of Queensland which is sure to be a highlight.

Sponsors have committed a massive $3000 to the series for this year with a great percentage of that going towards a prize pool.

2011 series champion Andrew Dillon commented: "This will give the series one of the biggest prize pools in state level motorsport. It's great to see local companies supporting Queensland motorsport."

As we'll as the new major sponsor, a new minor sponsor has come onboard, Dirt Devil Ind. Motorsport Equipment. Last year’s sponsors, GSL Rallysport and Performance Patios and Decks, are remaining onboard for the 2012 series.
