Walker Motorsport is pleased to announce that they have joined forces with David Watson’s Ambulance Private Team to take on the remainder of the 2010 Australian Tarmac Championship.
The new team is also very pleased to announce that they have secured the generous support of FSPORT and will be using Kumho tyres exclusively for the remainder of the championship.
Commenting on the synergy between Ambulance Private and Walker Racing, Alastair Walker said, “We’ve both been running the Volkswagen R32’s in various events around the country and after working together at the first round of the championship at Mt Buller it seemed a logical progression to join forces and combine our efforts into the one team.”
“On top of that to pick up the generous support of FSPORT & Kumho for our tyre needs is a fantastic result for the team. John Mills at FSPORT has a wealth of knowledge we can utilise when it comes to getting the best out of our Kumho V70A tyres in the upcoming events and we’re really looking forward toworking with him.”
David Watson said, “I’d like to thank John at FSPORT for his support of the team, it’s refreshing to see a manufacturer supporting all levels of competitor in the championship and we’re itching to get out there on the new Kumho tyres and give them a real shake.”
“With regards to combining the teams, it really was the way forward. With both of us running the same car it will speed up development and reduce costs as well as allowing us to promote our sponsors and the team more effectively.”
The team’s cars will be on display at Wrest Point Hobart from early January in the lead up to the second round of the championship, make sure to drop down and check out the display.
