Sebastien Ogier has for some time been giving assurances that his future in the World Rally Championship would be mapped out before Rally of Spain, but it hasn’t happened! He took time to explain the problems in Salou. “I have nothing to tell you. It has been slower than I expected. I think it is because it is not easy for anyone, let’s say, big groups or manufacturers which are not sometimes taking the decision very quickly. “It is often making the process of discussing quite long between the exchanges going on, going slower than expected.” Citroen have said they are interested in getting you for next year. Is that the problem? “There’s something in me that wants to continue to be competitive. That’s the main thing that I want. That’s why I explore the option I have to see where I can be the most competitive and for that you need a good car and you need good people around you, and you need a strong motivation to achieve it. “I think about every option. I would wish that I could tell you (the solution) but right now this is a week where I have other things even more important in mind. “I need to focus on this rally, where I want to achieve good result and I want to make one more step towards my next title. That is what matters the most right now.”
