It was the very first colour scheme run by Subaru Australia, and while the colours were later reversed when the Impreza came along, many still rate the yellow as the original and the best.
That’s certainly the case for Subaru tragic Sam Hill, who spent nearly 20 years working for the manufacturer in Sydney, and now owns a replica of the car that first ignited his passion for the Subaru brand.
