The Petter Solberg World Rally Team could make its debut into the World Rally Championship in 2009, according to the 2003 World Champion.
After Subaru's withdrawal from the WRC, Solberg is now a free agent, but with no factory cars on offer, he may be forced to set up his own team.
Speaking on Norway's TV2 Sport, Solberg said:
"It's tough because all the other factory cars are full, so now I have to come up with some new solutions. But I have many ideas.
But now I'm at least free, I can drive and decorate the car as I want. It is perhaps best for me to run a Petter Solberg World Rally Team.
It is important for me to run on Rally Norway because it is important for the interest and future of Norwegian motorsport. So we take it from there," he said.
