Profiling the 2025 ARC’s leading contenders

On home soil in Canberra, Harry Bates should be untouchable. But Hayden Paddon’s the reigning European Champion, so nobody will get near him.

These are just two of the statements we’ve heard in the lead up to the opening round of the Australian Rally Championship, the 2025 Rally of Canberra.

In our eyes, there are four legitimate title contenders in three different state-of-the-art Rally2 cars, all with very good reasons as to why they’ll be thinking they have a real shot at the title.

RallySport Magazine’s Peter Whitten surveys the top five seeds ahead of the season opener and admits that picking a winner isn’t as easy as you might think.
