Following the recent announcement regarding Repco Rally Australia’s new home in northern NSW, the promoter of the Amalgamated Glass Border Ranges Rally, the Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club, has received a number of enquiries regarding the event scheduled for 27th September 2008, particularly from potential competitors in the 2009 Repco Rally Australia.
The Amalgamated Glass Border Ranges Rally is a round of the City Subaru Queensland Rally Championship with headquarters based in the northern NSW township of Urbenville on the boundary of the Urbenville and Kyogle Shires.
The organisers of Repco Rally Australia and the Amalgamated Glass Border Ranges Rally would like to inform competitors that although some of the roads used in the Amalgamated Glass Border Ranges Rally are similar in character and surface to those identified for use in Repco Rally Australia, they are currently not proposed to be included in the itinerary for the WRC event.
