A top class field of 42 entries have been received for the Inspirations Paint Capalaba Hinterland Rally, being held in the Imbil State Forest on September 14. The event is the final round of the 2019 P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Rally Championship and is also a round of the East Coast Classic Rally Series. The event field will be led by Glenn Brinkman/Harvey Smith in car 1 and the reigning QRC Champions of Ian Menzies/Robert McGowan coming back from injury in car 2. The ECCRS has 10 entries, being led by the locals Ryan Smart/Hugh Reardon-Smith and joined by their Team Datsun Australia team mates Jack Monkhouse and Dale Moscatt. Nathan Quinn/Ray Winwood Smith have also entered in the beautifully prepared Mazda RX2 of Queenslander David Ovenden. The event has competitors coming from far reaches of Queensland, as well as competitors from Armidale, Coffs Harbour and Sydney. Even though Queensland is in the grips of extreme fire damage, the event has been given the go ahead from HQPlantations Pty Ltd, due to the diligence Brisbane Sporting Car Club has shown in the past and the effective fire management plan for the event. There will be two great spectator points, so if you live in South East Queensland come to Imbil to see one of the best fields Queensland has had in quite a few years.
