The full calendar of the 2020 Australian Rally Championship has yet to be confirmed, but a possible final round return to Queensland is in the mix. Next year's series will include six rounds, starting in Canberra with the National Capital Rally, before heading to Western Australia for the traditional Forest Rally. Dates for the four events after that, however, are yet to be announced. "There'll be six rounds, but we are working on a couple of options regarding what that sixth round might be," CAMS' Michael Smith told RallySport Magazine. The final round has been held at Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour in recent years, but with that event not a round of the WRC in 2020, there is still no decision on if the event will run at all next year. "Discussions regarding Coffs Harbour are subject to funding," Smith added.
"We have an alternative that we could run an event in Queensland, as we'd like to get a round back in the Sunshine State.
"We are working through it all at the moment. It might be a really good state round that we choose, or a new event if there was funding available."

That decision appears to rest on Coffs Harbour and the NSW Government, however. Firstly, if the government is prepared to continue to back Rally Australia, and secondly, if Coffs Harbour is to be the location for Rally Australia moving forward.
Meanwhile, one of the delays in announcing the 2020 ARC calendar also revolves around the release of the AFL draw for 2020.
Tasmania's event currently has two possible dates, dependent on the Hawthorn Football Club's fixture. The club plays some home games at Launceston's York Park, the venue also used for Rally Tasmania's super special stage and service park.
