Queensland rally dinner
- 22nd January 2007, 12:27pm
The Rally Dinner night was never intended to clash with the traditional CAMS Evening of Champions, but rather to complement it as a night where the rally community could get together and bask in the glory of their results amongst their peers.
The night has recently drawn crowds of 120+ and over the space of a few hours, winners of rally series and championships have had the opportunity to say a few words in a forum where they are welcomed.
Many times the stories that are related may stretch the truth a little, and by the end of the night different versions of the season’s events abound!!
Each year the dinner night adopts a charity to support and this has proven extremely successful in the past.
For the next dinner - to be held on Saturday, February 3 – the organisation being supported will be WICEN, the civilian radio network who does so much to support rally events in south-east Queensland.
As the seats are somewhat limited, it is important to book numbers as early as possible.
As in past years, Berenice Stratton has taken on the task of organising the night and she should be contacted for ticket bookings on 0414 733614, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The venue is once again the Broncos Leagues Club at Fulcher Road, Red Hill in inner city Brisbane. Arrival time is 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
The ticket price is $45 per head, and raffles, door-prizes and giveaways will be happening throughout the night.
It is seen as a great opportunity to thank sponsors and supporters for their involvement with a great night-out.
