Plans for RallySport Magazine’s official 2014 Coates Hire Rally Australia spectator tour are well advanced, with an initial inspection of the course revealing some exciting viewing locations.
RallySport Magazine spent four days in Coffs Harbour this week, driving the stages and discussing viewing locations and rally plans with key Rally Australia personnel.
The official tour will begin on Wednesday, September 10 when tour guests arrive in Coffs Harbour.
Guests will then visit the official WRC shakedown on Thursday morning, and watch the rally over the three days of competition, including visits to the all-new Hyundai Super Special Stage, and exclusive viewing locations throughout the event.
“The course is quite similar to 2013, but we’ve managed to find some really exciting locations that we will include in our official tour itinerary,” RallySport Mag’s Peter Whitten said.
“Our schedule should enable us to see the world’s best rally drivers and cars on three occasions each day, as well as visiting the service park and taking in the full atmosphere of Rally Australia.
“With the tour group staying at the impressive Opal Cove Resort, the official rally headquarters, there’ll be a great vibe throughout the week. It’s going to be exciting,” he said.
