Before we know it, the 2025 rally season will have begun, but what events will take place in your area?
RallySport Magazine has collated a list of national championship rounds alongside Australian state championship rounds all around the country.
Dates and events are correct at the time of publication.
Australian Rally Championship
Like 2024, the Australian Rally Championship will visit the same six rounds in the same order.
Canberra’s rally to open the season will be much anticipated. An expansion of its competitive distance means crews will cover more than 200 competitive kilometres to secure a strong start to their championship.
1. Rally of Canberra, 21-23 March
2. Forest Rally, 23-25 May
3. Rally Queensland, 4-6 July
4. Gippsland Rally, 22-24 August
5. Adelaide Hills Rally, 3-5 October
6. Rally Tasmania, 7-9 November
New Zealand Rally Championship
Announced in early December, the NZRC calendar has significant change from a year ago.
The well-run Southern Lights and Daybreaker rallies have been dropped from the series, while other events return after breaks forced by COVID and natural disasters.
Disappointingly, the final round of the NZ series is on the same weekend as Australia’s corresponding fixture.
1. Otago Rally, 4-6 April
2. South Canterbury Rally, 10 May
3. Canterbury Rally, 1 June
4. Rally Coromandel, 23 August
5. Rally Bay of Plenty, 11 October
6. International Rally of Whangarei, 7-9 November
Queensland Rally Championship
Information on what events will form the Queensland state series is scarce.
Rally Queensland will be a significant part of the championship, as will several rallysprints. These shorter events mark a change in strategy to curb the rising costs of the sport.
1. 22 February*
2. 29 March*
3. 3-5 May
4. Rally Queensland, 4-6 July
5. 23 August*
6. TBA

New South Wales Rally Championship
Typically a very strong calendar, the New South Wales series has seen plenty of event turnover in recent years. 2025 will be no different.
Coffs Harbour returns to the series, as does the Rally of the Bay after their last-minute cancellation in 2024.
The NSW Rally Panel is also midway through discussions on filling the gap at the end of the season that once held the Working Dog Rally.
1. Rally of Canberra, 22 March
2. Coffs Harbour Rally, 3 May
3. Bega Valley Rally, 7-8 June
4. Rally of the Bay, 2 August
5. Narooma Forest Rally, 13 September
6. TBC
Victorian Rally Championship
There has been no official announcement of the 2025 Victorian Rally Championship calendar, however, a draft calendar was released in October.
An event will take place in New South Wales for the first time in several years, while a return of the popular Valley Stages is also on the calendar after missing 2024.
1. Mitta Mountain Rally, 29 March
2. Ada River Rally, 10 May
3. Bega Valley Rally, 8-9 June
4. Gippsland Rally, 22-24 August
5. Valley Stages, 20 September
6. Akademos, 19 October

Tasmanian Rally Championship
There is no calendar announced as yet for Tasmania, however, the series will yet again conclude with Rally Tasmania.
It’s expected that Rally Natone and the Mountain Stages Rally will also appear on the calendar.
South Australian Rally Championship
Despite there being no official calendar yet for South Australia, there are two events locked in.
The Rally of the Heartland will be a part of the state series, as will the state’s ARC round, held on the picturesque shire roads of the Adelaide Hills.
x. Rally of the Heartland, 25-27 April
x. Adelaide Hills Rally, 3-5 October
West Australian Rally Championship
Arguably the most popular of all the state championships, Western Australia has a strong calendar yet again for 2025.
Starting as usual with the Winvale Stages, the series then goes to another five locations, including the ARC round in May.
An all-new event will run in August when the Blackwood Rally runs for the first time.
1. Winvale Stages, 12 April
2. Forest Rally, 23-25 May
3. Grimwade Stages, 21 June
4. Karri Rally, 19 July
5. Blackwood Rally, 9 August
6. Experts Cup, 25 October
