Rally Retro 2021 – simply irresistable!

An inspired display of over 50 significant rally cars and nearly 1000 equally inspired rally fans added up to a very successful Retro Rally Festival in Melbourne on February 27.

The undoubted star of the show was the Lancia Rallye 037 of Gerry Duyvestyn.  One of the factory Lancia cars built for FIA Group B homologation in the early 1980s, the car sounded glorious – courtesy of her Abarth Volumex supercharger on the 2 litre, 4 DOHC cylinder engine  – and looked the goods with its evocative Martini Racing paint scheme of the works cars.
