Brendan Warner (co driver) and Driver, Guy Tyler are contesting the full SARC season for the first time this year in a 1989 Toyota Corolla (PRC 2).

After a dismal debut season in 2009, which saw the pair contest three rallies all with mechanical DNF's in their Alfa Romeo Alfasud (or Alfadud), a move to Toyota power in 2010 saw instant success at the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally (ATHR) with a comfortable class win in the SARC and posting a good outright result of 12th overall in their first outing on tarmac.

Unfortunately the Sunday of the AHTR didn't go to plan when a pace-noting error ended with the rear of the car having a date with a tree. Crew were fine but a bit disappointed as a good national result went to waste.

With the car repaired, a first attempt at the Scouts Rally of SA beckoned. The team's aim for the weekend was to first finish and get some experience of the rally and the car. The rally was going great with the pair holding a slender lead in class after seven stages on Saturday afternoon. On the second pass through the fantastic Mt Crawford forest stage, the pair hit a rock, damaging the suspension.

With the car repaired Saturday night, (thanks Dad!), Sunday was a good day with great stages and a fault free drive which ended up with a very surprising class win for the weekend and more importantly, finishing with a straight car.

Guy and Brendan have now won two from two in the SARC P2 class and look forward to the rest of the rally season. Thanks have to go to B&R Autogas and Exhaust, Willunga Tyre and Battery, Chris and Sam.
