The young guns are starting to make their mark in world rallying. Kalle Rovanpera. Oliver Solberg. Max McRae. And you can now add Fabio Schwarz to that list.
The son of former top-line WRC driver, Armin Schwarz, made his rallying debut on the weekend in a Ford Fiesta R2, and immediately impressed.
Together with co-driver Dennis Zenz, 15-year old Fabio was winner in the junior category, second in the Lithuanian 2WD championship and eighth in the 2WD class.
"What a Weekend we have behind us. @samsonas_rally_rokiskis was my first ever rally, and it was a big surprise! 😄" he said.
"We came here to gain experience and learn the fast roads of Latvia, which we also did. On Friday evening after Leg 1 was done I started to get the feeling that we are very fast and I had a lot of confidence in the car.

"On Saturday (Leg 2) we had a very good run and didn’t do any silly mistakes! In the end we won the Juniors class, ended up second in the Lithuanien Championship and 25th overall! 💥💯
"I‘m very happy with the result and to be at the finish line."
Dad was understandably happy too.
“Fabio and Dennis blew me away. I am absolutely delighted with their performance,” Armin Schwarz said.
