 Our VIP spectator tour to the Otago Rally will take place from April 3 – 7, 2025, with a 5-day/4-night adventure to witness some of the event’s most famous stages and the best classic rallying in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Otago Rally is regarded as the Southern Hemisphere’s foremost classic rally, but also counts as Round 1 of the highly competitive New Zealand Rally Championship.

We’ve been attending the rally since 2002, so we know the area and the stages back to front. Join us on our VIP rally tour, and see why many of our clients keep coming back year after year!

2025 Otago Rally Tour itinerary

Thursday, April 3

  • Arrive at our tour hotel, Scenic Circle Southern Cross Hotel in Dunedin’s CBD (transfers to be arranged by guests)
  • 5.00 pm: Meet and greet the RSM team and your other rally travellers in the hotel lobby
  • At 6.00 pm we will gather at the hotel for a tour welcome and briefing
  • Tonight you’ll be up close and personal as you enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal while listening to the rally’s international star, and other high-profile drivers. This dinner sells out quickly, and is a must-do when you attend the Otago Rally. Dinner supplied, drinks at own cost
  • Overnight: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross, Dunedin

Friday, April 4

  • Enjoy a full buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
  • Today you will enjoy an informative guided walking tour of the beautiful South Island city of Dunedin. Your local guide is a wealth of knowledge about this Scottish-inspired city. Bring your camera to capture some beautiful buildings.
  • From around 4.00 pm you can make the short walk from the hotel to Dunedin’s Octagon, where the Rally Show and official ceremonial start will take place.
  • Grab yourself some dinner while in town.
  • Overnight: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross, Dunedin

Saturday, April 5

  • Enjoy a full buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
  • Leg One: Travel by bus to the day’s stages to the south of Dunedin. Final itinerary to be advised, although we expect to be able to visit 3 special stages for the day. We will stop for lunch during the day (at your expense).
  • Overnight: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross, Dunedin

Sunday, April 6

  • Enjoy a full buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
  • Leg Two: Travel by bus to the day’s stages, to the south of Dunedin. We expect to see 3 special stages for the day. We will stop for lunch during the day (at your expense).
  • After the completion of the rally, enjoy our farewell tour dinner at The Carlton Restaurant at your hotel. Our 3-course meal will have you finishing the tour on just the right note (drinks at own expense).
  • Overnight: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross, Dunedin

Monday, April 7

  • Full breakfast is provided at the hotel.
  • Depart for Dunedin airport

Tour cost does not include:
