Reeves rides in a World Rally Car

One of the highlights of Brendan Reeves' recent trip to the UK to take part in the Fiesta International Shootout, was the chance to have a ride with Matthew Wilson in a Ford Focus World Rally Car.

The day after the Shootout, drivers who had competed in six rounds of the Irish or British Fiesta Sporting Trophy in 2008, were given the opportunity to drive Mikko Hirvonen's Focus at the privately-owned Stobart airfield not far from M-Sport headquarters.

Reeves, and his co-driving sister, Rhianon Smyth, went along to watch the action, and Reeves was invited to go for a ride alongside Matt Wilson in Francois Duval's Focus.

"It was absolutely awesome!" Reeves said.  "The track was a sequence of fast and slow corners and handbrake turns.  The car handles so well!"

"The ride with Matt was definitely the highlight of my trip and I would like to thank Stobart for giving me such a fantastic opportunity."
