Victorian star, Brendan Reeves will drive a Ford Escort Mk2 in the next round of the Victorian Rally Championship in under three weeks time.
The former WRC Academy driver has competed sparingly over the past few seasons, and is currently building a Datsun 1600 for the Alpine Rally in December.
Partnering Reeves will be Ben Searcy, who has partnered Reeves on numerous occasions either side of the Tasman.
Reeves last drove in the event in 2018, when he drove a Holden Commodore.
“Ben and I had a lot of fun last year and we are really excited to be competing in the rally again,” Reeves said.
“The event uses some of the the stages traditionally used in the Rally of Melbourne and I really enjoy driving them.
“We’ll be using Pirelli tyres on the Escort and I’m really looking forward to seeing what challenges the event throws up. Last year we even had snow on some stages!”
The Western Victorian Crane Trucks Yarra Valley Stages runs east of Melbourne, based out of Yarra Glen, and uses a number of roads made famous by the Rally of Melbourne in years gone by.
