Reliability Trial footage emerges after 45 years

Motorsport website, V8 Sleuth, has unearthed rare footage from the finish ceremony of the famous 1979 Repco Reliability Trial.
The five-minute video features well-known commentator Stephen Phillips and event director, Stewart McLeod, discussing the rally before the winning Holden Commodores enter the packed Melbourne Showgrounds.
The Commodores finished 1-2-3 in the event, led by Peter Brock, Matt Phillip and Noel Richards.
The rare footage was screened live on Melbourne sports show, World Of Sport, on the day the Repco Reliability Trial ended after over 19,000 kilometres.
