Moto GP superstar, Valentino Rossi, is rumoured to be driving an M-Sport Ford Focus WRCar for Wales Rally GB, according to English publication Motorsport News.
After earlier speculation that he was to drive a Subaru World Rally Car on the event, it is believed Rossi has now signed a deal with M-Sport to contest the Monza Rally. M-Sport boss, Malcolm Wilson, has confirmed that he is talking to Rossi's team about the possibility of the Italian also driving a works Focus on Rally GB.
Wilson told Motorsport News: "It would be an honour to have a multiple world champion like him drive for our team."
Rossi has previously competed in Rally GB in 2002 and Rally New Zealand in 2006.
