Kalle Rovanpera has apologised to his Toyota team after rolling on the Shakedown test at Rally Italia Sardegna.
His Toyota will make the start line, but not before his mechanics get to work.
The 20-year-old rolled after the flying finish of the short 3km stage.
“The run was actually good, the feeling in the car was good and, for sure, the time was good also. But then I made the mistake after the finish line," he said.
“Actually it was a bit wrong in my notes and I would need to start to brake a bit earlier than I did. We went a bit wide, but it looks like the car is OK. We had a soft roll but hopefully everything is fine for the rally.”
A team spokesperson explained that the damage was only small.
“The damage was light, it wasn’t so bad – we are confident for tomorrow.”
Rovanpera currently sits fourth in the title race - well within a shot of victory if results go his way.
