Rullo’s all-encompassing test with Atkinson

Alex Rullo has shared the insights of a private test with ex-WRC driver, Chris Atkinson, that formed part of his preparation for the Forest Rally next week.
The Hyundai i20 N Rally2 driver for IntelliSpatial Fleetcare Racing is learning on the run in the Australian Rally Championship and took a podium finish last time out on the shortened Rally of Canberra.
Not only did Rullo test the Hyundai in the presence of Atkinson earlier in the week, but the former Subaru World Rally Team driver also took the wheel and provided valuable recce coaching.
In the famous Mundaring area in Western Australia, where Atkinson took several WRC stage wins on tests like Helena, Beraking, Flynns and Atkins, Rullo spent time noting the roads, then handed the keys to the former Subaru star.
“I think Chris might have recognised a few of the roads,” Rullo laughed.
