A British publication has released a copy of a rumoured 2021 World Rally Championship calendar, with a few surprises thrown in.
According to the Checkered Flag website, next year's 12-round championship will start in Monte Carlo in January and finish in Japan in November.
But in bad news for those of us 'down under', neither Rally Australia or Rally New Zealand are on the list of events for next year.
It's reported that the WRC will return to Kenya for the Safari Rally, with Rally Ireland a good chance to make an appearance in August. Estonia will also feature again.
"The championship is expected to be centred in Europe to reduce costs and simplify logistics although this could again change deepening on the ongoing constant changes in travel restrictions around countries such as Sweden," reporter Pontus Lindroos said.
"The FIA ​​and WRC Promotor are expected to release the details of the upcoming WRC season shortly – below is a calendar based on the promoter’s first draft and rumors circulating among several organizers," he added.
