Rumours circulated around last weekend’s Kenyan Rally Championship event at Nanyuki regarding the country's proposed WRC return. They suggested that there is continued uncertainty about aspects of their proposed 2020 world championship Safari Rally. This could explain the FIA’s long delay in releasing next year’s WRC calendar. It also appears there is difficulty securing access to stages which the FIA advisers they would like included in the route. The Nanyuki event, run on wildlife conservation land between Nanyuki and Isiolo, was led from start to finish by Carl Tundo’s Mitsubishi Evo X.
