Leading WA traffic management company Carrington's Traffic Management Services has once again stepped up to sponsor the 52nd running of the Light Car Club of WA’s Safari Rally. Carrington's Traffic Services have been supporting the event since 2011. The Carrington's Traffic Services Safari Rally is the final round of the Western Australia Rally Championship with three competitors who could walk away with the championship. Tom Wilde and his girlfriend, Madelin Kirkhouse, lead the charge against all odds in the Verandah Apartments Honda Civic on 328 points. They are up against the more powerful Subaru Impreza WRX turbo 4 wheel drives of John O'Dowd and Ken Sheils in second with 306 points, followed by Stephen Oxley and Michael Wood, also in a Subaru, on 293 points.

Clubman Cup

The Clubman Cup teams will be out to play in the forests as well, with five teams in the hunt for the Cup. Brock Nicoli and Daniel Adams lead in their Hyundai Lantra , ahead of the super consistent Andrew Percival and Jim Pearce in a Honda Civic. Brothers Mitchell and Stuart Clark who will be hoping for better luck this rally after a tree branch fell, smashing the windscreen of their Datsun 1600, on the liaison section to the first stage of the last rally. They are followed by husband and wife team of Graeme and Kathy Miles in a Mitsubishi Lancer. The leading rookie team of Terry Hughes and Monique Smith will compete in a Daihatsu Applause. Razvan Vlad and Damon Nicoli in their Ford Fiesta will be out to put on a good show in the 2WD class. The rally will run out of Chidlow, less than 45 minutes east of Perth CBD.
