Changes in M-Sport’s production plans for 2017 version Fiesta WRC cars are causing revisions in the programme for the new OneBet Jipocar team.
The team confirmed today that Martin Prokop will not appear in a new version car until Corsica, and the team will not go to Mexico at all.
Team proprietor Morten Ostberg said this morning: “Nothing is decided, but it might even happen that we decide to leave Martin in the private WRC Trophy competition with the old (2016 specification) car.
“We need more information before we decide. (2017 Fiesta WRC production schedules) are very unpredictable so we have decided no entries for Martin or any second driver at the moment.”
Entries for Rally Mexico closed yesterday. It had been decided some time ago that Mads will not go to Rally Mexico, for family reasons.
