Day one of Rally Jordan started with SS7 after the cancellation of Thursday’s stages 1-6 due the delayed arrival of the boat carrying all the Team’s trucks and equipment.

Sebastien Loeb was fastest through the stage with Petter in fourth position, reporting that he was struggling to find a rhythm. No such problems on the next stage, however, where Petter and Chris set the fastest time, ahead of Sebastien Ogier. They then swapped places on the last stage of the morning with Petter behind Ogier and ahead of Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala.

The afternoon saw Petter and Chris finish in 5th position on SS10, conserving tyres for the next stages but they then gained a third place on SS11, despite a stall at the start losing them seven seconds. Second fastest through the final stage of the afternoon puts them in fourth position overall and, therefore, fourth on the road tomorrow.

- It’s worked very well today, says Petter Solberg. – And I’m happy with the start position for tomorrow. I stalled on the start of stage 11 and lost some time there. I’m going for a big attack tomorrow!

Rally Jordan continues with eight stages on Saturday. The first car will be on the road from 0820 local time.
