Petter Solberg is preparing for this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a pre-event test in the Andes Mountains in Argentina.

The Norwegian, who is converting one of his Citroen C4 WRCs into a hillclimb machine, will test the car in Argentina after competing in the country's WRC event.

Petter Solberg World Rally Team boss Ken Rees told UK publication Motorsport News: "The car is currently being developed in France and we're planning to ship the car out to Argentina when we go out there for the rally in May and do some testing in the Andes. Then we can send the car straight to Colorado for the hillclimb itself."

Solberg is aiming to become the first driver to complete the hillclimb in less than ten minutes.
