Petter Solberg World Rally Team is in Spain and ready for Rally Spain. Servicepark and HQ is based in Salou, and stages will be run in the Taragona and Costa Daurada regions of Catalunya. 53 crews are on the entry list and a total of 16 stages are waiting for the drivers.

Rally Spain is usually a tarmac-event, and is well known for its fast and smooth stages. This year it will be run on mixed surfaces. Friday is both gravel and tarmac, while Saturday and Sunday is tarmac only. The car will be on gravel set-up on Friday, and will be rebuilt with tarmac set-up on Friday evening. Mechanics have 1 hour and 15 minutes available in the evening to do the job.

"I really want to win this event," says Petter Solberg. "And with dry conditions on the first day, I'm convinced we can do it. We will do whatever possible, and even some more, to finish at the top. It is not easy for a small private team to fight with the big manufacturers, so this time I have put in some of my private founding's to be able to have a real chance up against the others."
