Citroen’s unpredictable number two driver, Dani Sordo, has set the quickest time in the shakedown for the Rally of Mexico, which starts in the early hours of Saturday morning (Australian time).

Sordo, and his Citroen C4, headed team-mate Sebastien Loeb, while the new 2007 model Imprezas of Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson were third and fourth.

Two Fords followed, with Marcus Gronholm and Henning Solberg fifth and sixth fastest on the 5.13km stage.
