Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior, says that he’d like to see the Australian Rally Championship contested by the country’s top 20 drivers in identical cars.
Speaking exclusively to RallySport Magazine, Senior (pictured) said that cars could run a control tyre, suspension, gearbox and computer, allowing the best driver to win the championship, rather than the driver who makes best use of the current rules.
Senior also explained why Subaru has gone down the Group N path with Molly Taylor’s WRX STI, and says that the days of throwing endless money at a rally program are gone.
