The QRC decider being the ever popular Capricorn Rydges Rally in Yepoon in July, the team has worked hard in the close season to prepare, rebuilding their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.
The team will head to Woodenbong in Northern NSW on the 9th April to compete in the first round of the 2011 QRC. The Border Ranges Rally is an event known for its great shire roads and this should give a chance for Kent to open up and see what the rebuilt Lancer can do.
2011 will be an exciting year for the T2Racing team, as they have managed to gather more support over the off season, bringing 3 more sponsors on-board, Z Car Racing, Atlas Metals, Symposium Café, in addition to the continued support from BP Ultimate, SAAB CARE, J & L Haulage, Nu Pure Water, and Stickers Direct.
The team also has launched a new website www.t2racing.com.au , the intention is that the site will be posting their results live from all events.
Through the newly formed relationship with Z Car Racing, the team will use the new tyres provided by DMACK.
Kent said “It’s exciting to have such support on board as we aim for the championship this year, it was a gamble to go with such an un-proven brand, but early testing in a number of conditions has produced good results. I look forward to putting them to the test at the Border Rangers Rally and see what results we can produce. I’d like to personally thank Alan Stean and DMACK for their support this year and I look forward to proving the tyres are more than capable of the job.”
