Australia’s Molly Taylor and here Rosberg X Racing team head into this weekend’s Jurassic X Prix, the finale of the inaugural Extreme E season, with a 16-point championship lead.
Taylor and team-mate Johan Kristoffersson have three wins from four races this season, and is looking to close in on the first ever Extreme E championship title.
Following a thrilling race in Sardinia and another victory for the team, the duo are looking forward to pushing the ODYSSEY 21 to its limits once again, in the final race of 2021.
The Jurassic X Prix will take place in Bovington, Dorset at the British Ministry of Defence base. The course provides a completely new challenge and with a mixed surface of clay, sand, gravel, and lots of mud, the drivers will have a lot to contend with.
The start looks set to provide a spectacle for all those watching, with a fast downhill section allowing multiple cars to run side-by-side, before reaching a tight bottleneck along a tree-lined course.
“I’m excited to be back with the RXR team and back in the ODYSSEY 21,” Taylor said ahead of the final event of the year.
“We have worked hard as a team over the past few races and gained a lot of experience from different terrain, obstacles and weather.
“Hopefully we can use that experience as well as the confidence following our win in Sardinia to our advantage.”
Speaking ahead of the Jurassic X Prix, Rosberg X Racing Team Principal, Kimmo Liimatainen commented: “We’re excited to be here in Dorset for the final race of the season. It has been an incredible experience so far taking part in the inaugural Extreme E series and we hope to finish the weekend on a high.
“The team has been working tirelessly all year to make sure we can put ourselves in the strongest position possible each weekend, and despite the pressure as championship leaders this weekend, our approach remains the same.
“Both Molly and Johan have learnt a lot about the ODYSSEY 21 this season and we’re excited to start racing.”
