The final round of the Australian Rally Championship, Rally Victoria, will see the Australian Junior Champion, Will Orders, take reigns of the Rallyschool.com.au Subaru WRX as part of his first prize in the 2011 Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge.

In Orders' absence, Summit Rally Team must press on. This is where dedicated team mechanic, Hayden Taylor, will step in to front the team’s Nissan Silvia at Rally Victoria.  Taylor, who originally built and campaigned the car back in 2009, is excited to be behind the wheel again.

"It's been a couple of years since I’ve driven this car and it has had a few changes since then, so I’m testing on Wednesday to reacquaint myself with the car.”

Young Victorian co-driver, Correne Seabrook, teams up with Taylor for the event and will ensure the crew stay on track. Seabrook is a previous Victorian Junior Champion and she has plenty of experience calling the notes.

This will be Taylor’s first time competing at an Australian Rally Championship event. So with nothing to prove and everything to gain Taylor will “Start out steady and gradually increase speed”.

“I can’t wait to get out there and compete against the country's best drivers on some of the finest roads in Victoria.”

Taylor, currently a driving instructor at Rallyschool.com.au, has been able to keep his eye in with plenty of time behind the wheel of the Rallyschool cars. That, combined with his previous experience as a Victorian state level competitor, will see him looking for a reasonably good result next weekend.

Rally Victoria will be held in the forest around Poweltown and Noojee, north of Warragul, and will include a Super Special Stage in Lardner Park close to the township of Warragul.
